CLIMATE

The maximum daytime temperature in Vienna​ in September is 21°C. Night time temperatures drop to 12°C.​ ​

CURRENCY/EXCHANGE​

The currency unit in Austria is the Euro. International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Foreign currency may be changed at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, at airports and in exchange offices. ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at the Vienna Airport. 

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

The Congress Secretariat and organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

GUEST ATTENDANCE POLICY

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

VISA

Participants are requested to check with the Austrian consulate or diplomatic mission in their home country or with their travel agency for visa requirements. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required

OFFICIAL LETTER OF INVITATION

An official letter of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will shortly be available from  the EFIC® Congress website. Alternatively upon request, the Congress Secretariat will send a personal invitation to participate. This invitation is meant only to assist participants to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee to provide any financial support.

Applications for invitation letters must be received at le​ast 6 weeks prior to the congress via "Contact U​s" page. Please make sure to send us your full name (as printed in your passport), full postal address and passport number. An official invitation letter will be created and sent to you by e-mail within 5-7​ working days.​

ACCOMMODATION & REGISTRATION

Kenes International will obtain special accommodation rates for Congress participants.
